The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting also recorded that currently, floods on the Thao River (Lao Cai), Luc Nam River (Bac Ninh), Ma River (Thanh Hoa), and Ca River (Nghe An) are receding. However, floods on the Lo River (Tuyen Quang), Cau River, Thuong River (Bac Ninh), and Thai Binh River (Hai Phong) are rising. Due to the influence of upstream reservoirs and upstream floods, the water level in the downstream of the Red River at the Hanoi station is rising.
It is forecasted that in the next 12 hours, floods on Lo River, Cau River, Thuong River will continue to rise to alert level 2 - alert level 3 and above alert level 3; Thai Binh River will rise above alert level 2. Floods in the downstream of Ma River, Ca River, Thao River will fall below alert level 2. In the next 12-24 hours, floods on Cau River, Thuong River will fluctuate at alert level 3; Thai Binh River will fluctuate above alert level 2; Lo River will fall below alert level 3; Ma River, Ca River will fall below alert level 2; Thao River will fall below alert level 1.
Notably, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting warned that in the next 24 hours, the flood in the lower reaches of the Red River at Hanoi station will continue to rise and fluctuate above level 1. Flooding will occur in low-lying areas along the river, urban areas in the Northern region, from Thanh Hoa to Nghe An; flash floods and landslides on steep slopes in the mountainous areas of the Northern region, from Thanh Hoa to Nghe An.
