Mitsubishi Xforce launched in Vietnam market, price from 620 million VND

This morning (January 10), Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam officially launched the all-new XFORCE, with 4 options, priced from 620 million to 699 million VND, the highest-end Ultimate version has not announced the price yet, delivery after Lunar New Year.

In the Vietnamese market, Xforce has 4 versions and is imported completely from Indonesia, with prices of 620 million VND (Xforce GLX), 660 million VND (Xforce Exceed) and 699 million VND (Xforce Premium). The highest-end version Xforce Ultimate has not yet listed its price.

Mitsubishi Xforce will compete directly with rivals in the same segment such as: Toyota Yaris Cross, Honda HR-V, Mazda CX-3, Nissan Kicks, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos... Xforce is larger than all competitors with a length of 4,390 mm, width of 1,810 mm, height of 1,660 mm. The length of Xforce is between HR-V and the model in the upper segment, Corolla Cross. The ground clearance of 222 mm is also the largest in the segment, much larger than many models in segment C (CX-5: 200 mm, Tucson: 181 mm).

The special feature of Xforce is that although it is larger than its competitors, Xforce has the smallest turning radius in the segment, only 5.2 m. Thanks to that, the car can turn flexibly in narrow urban areas.

The design of the Xforce is similar to the XFC Concept, with only some details tweaked to suit actual operation. The front is still the (automatic) headlight cluster combined with T-shaped LED positioning. The stylized 5-spoke rims are the largest in the segment, measuring 18 inches. The front and rear bumpers are optimized for off-road operation with an approach angle of 21 degrees and an exit angle of 30.5 degrees.

The Xforce interior has a modern design with a 12.3-inch central touch screen combined with an 8-inch screen behind the steering wheel placed on the same floating cluster. The multi-information entertainment system has Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity and 8-speaker Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium sound.

Some other notable equipment in the car include 2-zone automatic air conditioning with rear vents, nanoeX air filter, USB-A, USB-C charging ports, electronic parking brake with automatic hold, wireless charging, interior decorative lights, electric trunk...

The Xforce has a 5-seat configuration. What sets this model apart from its competitors is the 8-way reclining rear seats. The space is arranged practically with many storage areas. The company says it can hold 21 water bottles in locations around the car.

Xforce is equipped with a 1.5L engine, 105 horsepower, 141 Nm torque, combined with CVT and front-wheel drive.

There are 4 driving modes that all support off-road operation and are suitable for Vietnamese roads, including Normal Road, Flooded Road, Gravel Road and Mud Road. This model also has a brake force control system when steering sharply or cornering (AYC).

The Xforce's driver assistance technology features include a suite of ADAS features including adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning and mitigation, smart headlights and front vehicle departure warning, blind spot warning and rear cross traffic alert. Other safety features include rear sensors, tire pressure sensors and a rear camera.

Xforce has a practical design and equipment, many features suitable for Vietnam's road infrastructure such as small turning radius, off-road driving modes, large reclining rear seats, air filter... The Japanese car company said that this model was researched, designed and developed based on the habits and consumer behavior of Southeast Asians and Vietnamese people.

Vietnam is the first market to launch the right-hand drive version of the Xforce in the world . This is also the first place chosen by the Japanese automaker to launch the concept version of the Xforce, called the XFC Concept. Compared to the previous Xforce version sold in Indonesia, the model for the Vietnamese market is superior in the ADAS technology package. This shows that the Xforce is Mitsubishi's strategic product in Vietnam. Mitsubishi once expected that the sales of the Xforce in Vietnam would be on par with the Xpander - the company's best-selling model.
