Improve the quality of social supervision and criticism

In 2025, the work of social supervision and criticism will continue to be effectively implemented by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in Lang Son province, focusing on specific areas and quality.

Thereby promoting the role and mastery of the people, creating high consensus in society, contributing to the successful implementation of socio -economic development goals and tasks in the locality.

According to Mr. Nguyen Hoang Tung - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lang Son province, in 2025, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lang Son province will continue to effectively implement the Party's regulations and the State's laws on social supervision and criticism in the spirit of the Law on the Vietnam Fatherland Front 2015; Directive No. 18, dated October 26, 2022 of the Secretariat on promoting the role, improving the quality and effectiveness of social supervision and criticism of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio- political organizations. At the same time, improve the quality of synthesizing opinions and recommendations of voters and people to promptly reflect them to Party and State agencies; promote the role of the people in contributing ideas to build a clean and strong Party and State.

Focusing on social criticism, in 2024 alone, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in Lang Son province organized social criticism on 186 draft documents of the same-level authorities, synthesizing 1,073 opinions, of which the provincial level organized criticism on 16 draft documents, synthesizing 152 opinions. The key content related to the draft Decision of the Provincial People's Committee promulgating detailed regulations on criteria for considering and awarding the titles of "Cultural Family", "Cultural Village, Residential Group", "Typical Commune, Ward, Town" in Lang Son province; draft Decision of the Provincial People's Committee on promulgating the Forest Price Framework in Lang Son province...

Along with that, the promotion of the role of the People's Inspection Committee and the Community Investment Supervision Committee in local supervision activities and participation in practicing democracy at the grassroots level has been promoted by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at all levels in Lang Son province. Last year, the People's Inspection Committees supervised 197 cases, the Community Investment Supervision Committee supervised 313 cases. Through the supervision process, the Committees discovered a number of shortcomings in the works, promptly reflected and proposed solutions to overcome them. Through the activities of the People's Inspection Committees and the Community Investment Supervision Committees, they have contributed to the good implementation of democracy regulations at the grassroots level.

For example, in Vinh Yen commune (Binh Gia district), in recent years, the commune's Community Investment Supervision Boards have actively participated in supervising clean water projects in villages, road projects connecting villages to the main axis... Through supervision, members have discovered a number of problems and requested the construction unit to replace and quickly fix them, helping the projects ensure quality when put into use.

Also in 2024, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at all levels in Lang Son province coordinated with relevant agencies to organize 229 dialogue conferences between leaders of Party committees and authorities at all levels and the people. At the conferences, leaders of Party committees and authorities listened to, received, and responded to opinions, recommendations, and reflections of the people, promptly directed functional agencies to resolve legitimate recommendations of the people, contributing to creating a democratic and open environment between the people and Party committees and authorities.

"Building on the achievements, in the coming time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in Lang Son province will continue to implement the monitoring program, organize social criticism conferences according to the proposed program and plan, focusing on the contents and issues of interest to cadres, party members and people" - Mr. Nguyen Hoang Tung emphasized.
