Responding to the "Godmother" program launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union since 2021, Ms. Hien and members of the Executive Committee of the Women's Union of Dai An commune have sponsored 5 orphans with an amount of 300 - 500 thousand VND/child/month.

Actively mobilize and call for socialization, mobilize civil servants to sponsor 14 children with an amount from 300,000 VND to 1 million VND/child/month.

In particular, the Commune Women's Union also assigned cadres and members to accompany and support children in the community, especially orphans. "We always consider the children as relatives to promptly encourage, remind, and be a support for them to strive to improve" - ​​Ms. Hien shared.

Nguyen Hoang Khanh Ngoc (born 2012) is an orphaned student, living with her elderly father who is often sick. Thanks to the support of the Women's Union of Dai An commune, she receives support of 300,000 VND/month.

Or the case of Ho Thi Minh Anh (born in 2009), a high school student whose mother works for hire and is currently living with her grandmother who has cancer. Every month, from the "Godmother" program, Minh Anh receives support from 500 million VND to 1 million VND...

Ms. Van Thi Hien and the Women's Union of Dai An commune also regularly connect and carry out many meaningful activities such as giving hundreds of gifts to orphans in difficult circumstances, giving textbooks, notebooks, school supplies, and bicycles to students.

"This is a meaningful humanitarian activity, so I, along with the staff and women's union members, try our best to promote, mobilize, and spread love to the community," said Ms. Hien.

Launched more than a year ago, the “Dai An Women Volunteer Club with Warm Love for Children” with 12 members, chaired by Ms. Hien, has had a number of practical activities. In addition, at the beginning of this year, the Women's Union of Dai An commune organized the launch of the “Hot Blood - Understanding & Loving Dai An” Club with 11 members, also chaired by Ms. Van Thi Hien.

After the launch, the Club called on volunteers to donate 5 units of warm blood to patients being treated at the Northern Mountainous Region General Hospital of Quang Nam . Ms. Hien also actively mobilized cadres and women's union members to implement the "Green House" model. This is a place to exchange waste for trees and raise funds to sponsor and support women and children with disabilities and difficulties.

With those outstanding achievements, Ms. Hien has been commended and rewarded by all levels of women's unions; Dai An Commune Women's Union also received many emulation titles from Dai An Commune People's Committee), district and provincial women's unions. Recently, in September 2024, Ms. Van Thi Hien was also commended at the "Godmother" Honor Forum organized by Quang Nam Provincial Women's Union.
