The 2nd Infantry Division's exercise was organized in four phases: Changing to combat readiness, organizing combat preparations, practicing combat, and firing air bullets.

Despite the short preparation time, large workload, and high training intensity, the Party Committee and commanders of the 2nd Infantry Division still thoroughly grasped, organized, and conducted strict and serious preparation and training.
Through observing the exercise, it is easy to see that the highlights are that the conferences at each stage were conducted closely and concisely, promoting collective intelligence and proposing practical policies. The determination to fight was clearly defined; the coordination plan, ensuring logistics and technology were built specifically and feasiblely.
In addition, the unit has combined traditional methods (maps, diagrams, boards) with the application of modern technology (television, digital technology , combat simulation). This combination both maintains the intuitive, easy-to-understand nature and enhances the ability to access and master science and technology, meeting the requirements of training, command, and consulting in new conditions.
In particular, with a spirit of urgency, closely following actual developments, the Division's training framework flexibly applied tactical principles and combat experience to effectively handle combat situations on the sand table outside the scenario set forth by the Military Region 5 Training Steering Committee.

Colonel Nguyen Truong Sinh, Division Commander of the 2nd Infantry Division, emphasized: Practicing handling combat situations helps test leadership and command capacity; train the mettle, initiative and flexibility of officers and soldiers; and at the same time improve the level of coordination, command organization and overall strength of the unit.
Monitoring and directing the exercise, Colonel Phan Dai Nghia - Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Military Region 5, Head of the Military Region Exercise Steering Committee, commented: The training framework at all levels of Infantry Division 2 demonstrated initiative in management and handling; combat documents were drafted fully, in accordance with regulations, and close to modern combat requirements. The content of the air bullet firing exercise ensured absolute safety for people and equipment.
Colonel Phan Dai Nghia requested that after the exercise, the 2nd Infantry Division must seriously learn from experience, overcome weaknesses, continue to innovate methods, improve training quality, practice realistically, and meet mission requirements in the new situation.
