Enhancing female logistics students and creating a safe school environment

The College of Mechanization and Irrigation in collaboration with the Aus4Skills Program (part of the Australia - Vietnam Development Cooperation Program) recently organized an information exchange and training session on Supporting female logistics students to prepare for their career path; raising awareness on preventing exploitation, abuse, sexual harassment and child protection.

The program has the participation of officers, teachers, students of Aus4skills partner schools; leaders and officers of logistics enterprises in the province.

Through the training session, female logistics students were inspired, had a clearer direction on their career path ahead and understood more about development opportunities. At the same time, all participants raised awareness of important social issues such as: preventing exploitation, abuse, sexual harassment and child protection.

Since 2017, the College of Mechanics and Irrigation has been selected to participate in the Logistics Training Advisory Board (within the framework of the Aus4Skills Program). The school's teachers also participate in training courses on management, assessment and development of occupational standards to develop training programs for 4 logistics occupations according to Australian occupational standards. The school is training occupations in the logistics group including: warehouse management, general mechanical loading and unloading.
