Voluntary blood donation festival at Long Son Pagoda

On the morning of September 27, at Long Son Pagoda (West Nha Trang Ward), the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Khanh Hoa Province coordinated with the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation, the Red Cross Society and the Provincial Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center to organize a Voluntary Blood Donation Day.

The program attracted hundreds of monks, nuns, and Buddhists from monasteries in the province to actively respond. In the morning, more than 100 units of donated blood were collected. This blood source will be added to the blood bank, serving emergency and treatment work at hospitals in the province, thereby spreading the spirit of "every drop of blood given, a life saved" in the community.

It is known that in September, the whole province organized 10 blood donation campaigns and collected 1,400 units of blood. The Provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation coordinated with relevant units to continue organizing voluntary blood donation campaigns to promptly supplement the blood bank.
