Fifteen days have passed since the flood, but many residential areas are still deeply flooded. Commune leaders said that at the peak of the flood on October 11, many houses in Kim Van village were flooded from 3.5 to 5 meters. Up to now, the water has receded slowly, and the entire village has 36 affected households, of which 9 have returned to clean up and initially stabilized their lives, while 27 households are still living in tents temporarily set up by the Provincial Military Command. These households are all poor or near-poor, so life after the flood is even more difficult. Local authorities have provided rice, clean water and necessities to support the people.

If the weather is favorable, it will take about a month for the water to recede completely. During this time, people are in dire need of generators, flashlights and other essential items.

He requested the local Party Committee and authorities to urgently agree on a plan to relocate people to new accommodation; at the same time, study and arrange suitable temporary housing, because choosing a resettlement site takes time, while tents cannot be used for long-term accommodation.

He noted that the resettlement plan must ensure overall safety, not only avoiding floods but also preventing landslides, facilitating people's lives and production.
