Man had money stolen after dropping ATM card and password paper

(Dan Tri) - A man in Quang Tri lost his ATM card along with a piece of paper with his password written on it and had 37 million VND stolen.

On December 19, news from Vinh Linh District Police (Quang Tri), the unit has just prosecuted two subjects Ho Ngoc Vu (born 1993) and Nguyen Thuan Huynh (born 1994), both residing in Vinh Linh District, for the crime of Property Theft.

Previously, Vinh Linh District Police received a report that Mr. Nguyen Dung Dien (born in 1966), residing in Vinh Long Commune, Vinh Linh District, dropped a plastic bag containing an ATM card with a piece of paper with the password written on it, and then had money withdrawn from his account by a thief.

The police determined that Ho Ngoc Vu was involved in the incident and summoned him for clarification.

Vu confessed that on December 9, he found an ATM card in the name of Nguyen Dung Dien with a piece of paper with the password written on it, so he went to the ATM to check. Discovering that there was 84 million VND in his account, Vu did not withdraw the money himself but contacted Nguyen Thuan Huynh to help him withdraw it.

At 7:43 p.m. the same day, Huynh went to an ATM in Cua Tung town, Vinh Linh district, withdrew 37 million VND 8 times, then gave the money to Vu.
