Consumers trust products labeled with the "blue tick of responsibility"

After 3 months of implementing the "blue tick responsibility" labeling program for many types of products and goods being sold at 12 leading distribution units in Ho Chi Minh City, many consumers said they have confidence in products with this label.

Coming to the fruit and vegetable counter of Co.opmart Thang Loi supermarket (Tay Thanh ward), Ms. To Thi Bich chose to wrap green vegetables with the "green tick of responsibility" label. She shared: "Since I learned that the supermarket sells labeled products, I have prioritized this choice. Because these are products whose quality is guaranteed by the supplier and confirmed by the distributor."

Ms. Vo Thi Bich Thuy, Senior Product Manager, Sales Department ( Saigon Co.op ) said that by the end of July 2025, Saigon Co.op had 99 suppliers participating in the "green tick of responsibility" with more than 1,500 products available in Saigon Co.op's distribution system in Ho Chi Minh City.

“Sales of products with the “blue tick of responsibility” label in July 2025 increased by over 40% over the same period. This proves that consumers are very interested and confident in choosing to buy products with this label. This is also a way to increase the identification factor of safe and quality products and goods, helping consumers choose products and goods more easily,” said Ms. Vo Thi Bich Thuy.

At MM Mega Market Hiep Phu supermarket (Tan Thoi Hiep ward), many customers also prioritize buying products with the "responsible green tick" label. Currently, MM Mega Market has nearly 100 products (fresh and processed vegetables, tubers, fruits) from nearly 50 suppliers with this label. MM Mega Market representative said that sales of products with the "responsible green tick" label in July 2025 increased by 20-30% over the same period.

“Green Tick of Responsibility” is a program launched by the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City, aiming to improve the quality of goods and build a transparent, healthy and responsible trade environment.

This program is implemented based on the principle of “3 self”: Voluntary, self-commitment and self-monitoring. Currently in Ho Chi Minh City, there are 12 leading distribution units selling over 3,000 products from more than 330 suppliers labeled with “blue tick responsibility”.

Mr. Nguyen Nguyen Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City, said that both suppliers and distributors appreciated the great significance of the program and had feasible solutions to implement it. Initially, the program was implemented on the basis of encouraging relevant parties to voluntarily participate in order to promote responsibility towards consumers. Currently, the program focuses on checking and controlling the quality of goods, initially evaluating and eliminating unqualified products, and expanding the range of products and goods registered for the "blue tick of responsibility" label.
