On the morning of July 7 (Vietnam time), Thuy Linh (ranked 23rd in the world ) entered the women's singles championship match of the Canada Open 2025 with Japanese tennis player Manami Suizu (ranked 35th in the world).

In set 1, Thuy Linh could only chase her opponent in the early stages and tied 5-5.

After that, the Vietnamese player had trouble with Manami Suizu's precise shots. Thuy Linh then quickly lost with a score of 12-21.

The tennis player from Phu Tho tried her best in set 2 but faced with her opponent's excitement, she was helpless.

In the end, Thuy Linh lost 14-21, accepting to watch Manami Suizu win the Canada Open 2025.

Although she could not reach the highest podium, this was still a memorable milestone in Thuy Linh's career.

Throughout the tournament, she showed steady form and played with confidence to overcome many strong opponents, including emotional comebacks in the quarter-finals and semi-finals.
