At the age of 76, musician Duc Huy has a peaceful life with his two children, an 11-year-old son and a 7-year-old daughter. He boasts that he is a very happy person.

"I think my wife was a bit slow because it took her sixty years to catch me, but I let her catch me on purpose. At that time, I was broke and had to start from zero, so I didn't think about getting married anymore. Being cheerful and stylish is sometimes just a facade to hide the difficult journey I've been through.

But when we had our first child, I knew it was fate because I could never have imagined that I would be so foolish as to get married at that age.

My friends also asked me why I made myself suffer so much, but 6 years later I suffered again, that was having a second child. If other people worry about me, I say I have never been so happy," the male musician confided.

The "father" of the song "Don't leave me tonight" did not hesitate to give compliments to his wife. He said that his wife is the one who makes his heart happy again. Even though the couple has been together for many years, their feelings are still pure and fresh like those of a couple in love.

"My wife is a very special person because she wants to understand me so she can love me more. If people understand the pain I have carried, isn't that the greatest love?" he said.

In 2004, after a long time living in the US, musician Duc Huy decided to return to the country and release the album "And the heart is happy again".

Recalling the time when he first returned to Vietnam, he admitted that he faced a lot of economic pressure.

"The first pressure I learned was money. Without money, a family can easily fall apart. At that time, a third person can easily appear because you are disoriented. Then suddenly someone comes along and understands your situation, and you will be moved. But who knows, maybe that's just a medicine to relieve the headache," he confided.

However, he considered himself lucky to have someone who looked in the same direction, which was to practice austerity.

"Before the pandemic, I also shared that we practiced living like that, now when measuring our waists, we see that they are "wasp" waists. We are very happy because we found the secret that we don't need to have that much to live happily. At the same time, we don't need to show off to everyone to feel fulfilled," the musician said.

Musician Duc Huy is from Hanoi. Active in music since the 1960s, he has many songs that are loved by audiences such as: "And I also love you", "Bay di canh chim bien", "Don't leave me tonight", "Duong xa wet mua", "And the heart is happy again", "Love you long time"...

He had a broken first marriage and had 3 children, currently living in the US. Ms. Huynh Thu is the second wife of musician Duc Huy. During the marriage with Huynh Thu, the two had 2 children together.
