Multiplying the strength of the people in the movement to protect national security

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh once said: "A hundred times easier without the people, it is still bearable, a thousand times harder with the people's help." Keeping in mind Uncle Ho's advice, in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, the police force from the provincial to the grassroots levels has implemented many positive and creative solutions, contributing to spreading the movement of the entire people to protect the security of the Fatherland, promoting the spirit of solidarity, mobilizing the strength of the people in preventing, detecting, stopping and fighting all kinds of crimes and social evils.

With the motto "Using beauty to eliminate ugliness", "Using positivity to repel negativity", the police force has coordinated with local departments, branches and organizations to promote propaganda work, thoroughly grasp the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, warn about the methods and tricks of all types of criminals and social evils; propagate good people, good deeds, and advanced models in the movement of the whole people to protect national security. Propaganda work has been deployed with focus and key points with many rich and diverse forms and measures, many new, creative and typical ways. Up to now, the whole province has been maintaining and promoting the effectiveness of advanced models and models in the movement "The whole people protect national security", in 2024 alone, 165 self-management models on security and order were launched, bringing the total number of models in the province to 909 models.

Mass organizations have actively participated in grassroots mediation, propaganda on crime prevention and social evils. Many members directly participated in People's security teams, People's inspection teams, actively fought against social evils, reformed and educated people who made mistakes, and contributed to resolving conflicts and difficulties at the grassroots level. In the period of 2019-2024, all levels of the association proactively did a good job of grasping the situation, participating in the mediation of 2,970 conflicts within the people; reformed and educated 9,763 people who made mistakes to return to their localities to do honest work, reformed and educated 2,532 bad and backward youth. All levels of the association also provided the authorities with 5,789 valuable sources of information related to security and order; participated in denouncing 354 cases with 648 subjects, helping the authorities fight and handle; directly participated in coordinating the fight, handling 643 cases with 692 subjects; organized and persuaded 52 wanted subjects to surrender...

Along with that, the police force has built and maintained effective models in fire prevention and fighting; including 1,120 models of "Fire Prevention and Fighting Inter-Family Groups" and 1,670 models of "Public Fire Fighting Points". Training and dissemination of knowledge and skills on fire prevention and fighting for the second member of the household reached more than 78%; propaganda and mobilization of 100% of households to open a second escape route; 98% of households equipped themselves with portable fire extinguishers.

The work of building a mass movement to protect national security in special areas has also been focused on and strengthened. The police force has coordinated with departments, branches and organizations to advise Party committees and authorities at the same level to continue to effectively implement the Ministry of Public Security 's directive on promoting the mass movement to protect national security in border areas and for people with religious beliefs. At the same time, maintaining and expanding self-management models of security and order among religious people, thereby strengthening the great national unity bloc, contributing to building a solid people's security posture.

Lieutenant Colonel Ha Van Ban, Chief of Pu Nhi Commune Police, said: "Over the past years, the commune police have proactively coordinated closely with local organizations, Party committees and authorities in building, maintaining and consolidating the "people's hearts" position, promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc in the cause of protecting national security. At the same time, we have mobilized dignitaries, prestigious people, village elders and village chiefs to propagate and mobilize people to strictly comply with the Party's guidelines, policies and the State's laws. We have strengthened mass mobilization work to tighten the close relationship between the police force and ethnic minorities; at the same time, we have mobilized the masses to actively participate in the movement of the whole people to protect national security at the grassroots level."

Up to now, the movement of the entire people to protect national security has been spreading strongly throughout the province. People actively participate in crime prevention and fighting, building a solid people's security posture. The movement has received active participation from local Party committees and authorities; promoting the role and responsibility of the people. Since then, the awareness of self-management, self-prevention, self-protection, self-reconciliation among the people has changed positively; many typical and advanced examples have appeared in participating in denouncing, fighting and preventing crimes; contributing to maintaining security and order, successfully implementing socio -economic development goals in the locality.
