Previously, at around 6:30 p.m. on September 20, Mr. Le Van Dinh (32 years old, in Dinh Thanh village, Phu Hoa 1 commune) was taking his wife to a pregnancy check-up. When they arrived at the intersection of Le Trung Kien - Le Loi (Tuy Hoa ward), Mr. Dinh saw a pile of money in a puddle of water.
Mr. Dinh picked up this pile of money and handed it over to Tuy Hoa ward, asking the ward police to find and return it to the owner.

After receiving the deposit of 22 million VND from Mr. Dinh, Tuy Hoa Ward Police verified that the owner of the property was Mrs. Phung Thi Kim Dung (78 years old, living in Tuy Hoa Ward). At 9:00 p.m. the same day, Tuy Hoa Ward Police and Mr. Dinh returned the money to Mrs. Dung.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Dung, Ms. Dung's daughter, said: "At around 7:45 p.m., I read the announcement on the Tuy Hoa Ward Police fanpage, so I immediately took my mother there to complete the procedures to receive the money back. Our family is very grateful for Mr. Dinh's noble gesture and the prompt intervention of the ward police."
It is known that Mr. Dinh is working at Hoa Dinh Dong Agricultural Service Cooperative.
Talking to reporters of Dak Lak Newspaper and Radio and Television, Mr. Le Van Dinh shared: “When I found such a large amount of money, the first thing I thought of was to quickly find a way to return it to the person who lost it. That amount of money could be saved by people to take care of work or they could also be in dire need of it in difficult times. If I put myself in that situation, losing a large amount of money would certainly make me extremely worried and insecure. I am really happy that Tuy Hoa Ward Police quickly identified the owner and returned the money.”
