Many solutions to mobilize children to go to school in Trung Son

Trung Son Kindergarten always focuses on innovating child-rearing methods.

Trung Son commune was merged from Trung Son, Dao Vien, Cong Da communes with a population of 10,475 people; of which, about 80% are ethnic minorities. The commune still has many difficulties, some parents do not really care about their children's education, many families have grandparents at home so parents do not let their children go to school or the situation of children having to stay home to look after younger siblings and help the family still exists.

Comrade Nguyen Van Truong, Vice Chairman of Trung Son Commune People's Committee said: "Faced with that reality, since July, the Party Committee and the commune government have developed a plan, organized a review, and accurately counted the number of school-age children. From there, each cadre and teacher was assigned to be in charge of each village and each household to propagate. Organizations such as the Women's Union, Youth Union, and Veterans Association have also actively participated, together with teachers, to each household with children of kindergarten age to encourage parents to send their children to class."

The whole commune has 3 kindergartens, 14 schools with 631 children. An effective solution proposed by the commune is to link the work of mobilizing children to go to school with the movement of building new rural areas, considering this an important criterion in improving people's lives. Propaganda sessions on the importance of education are organized in conjunction with activities of villages and associations. In many villages, thanks to good propaganda work, sending children to school has become a self-consciousness of each family. Many parents also proactively coordinate with teachers in picking up, taking care of, and creating a good learning environment for children.

Ms. Sin Thi Thiem, Luong Cai village, Trung Son commune said: “My child is 20 months old, I think he is still young so I have not sent him to school. Sometimes when the parents go to work in the fields, they also let their children go because there is no one to look after them at home. After being informed by the propaganda staff and listening to the teacher's analysis, I think sending my child to class will help him learn more things, he will have a good learning environment and many friends, and my family will also be assured of economic work, so from this school year I have sent him to kindergarten.”

Along with propaganda, the commune also pays attention to supporting students in difficult circumstances. At the beginning of the school year, organizations coordinate and mobilize donors to support books, clothes, milk, and school supplies for children. According to teacher Nguyen Minh Lan, Vice Principal of Cong Da Kindergarten, Trung Son commune: "This school year, the school has 128 children from 3 to 36 months old. In order to mobilize children of preschool age to go to class beyond the target, the school has developed a specific plan, reported to local leaders in monthly meetings and sent it directly to party cell secretaries and village heads to grasp and jointly propagate to parents. The school also focuses on implementing solutions to improve the quality of childcare; organizing many activities for children to experience; teachers and parents coordinate to decorate the school grounds, make tools and toys for children from recycled materials, creating an attractive play space to make children interested in going to class".

With practical and effective solutions achieved in the work of mobilizing children to go to kindergarten in the commune, it shows the perseverance, responsibility and drastic participation of the local government and society. Thereby, contributing to creating favorable conditions for kindergartens in the commune to promote the emulation movement of good teaching, good learning, completing the goals and tasks of the 2025 - 2026 school year.
