In particular, international tours are more dominant than domestic tours due to their attractive schedules and reasonable prices. Of which, 25% choose nearby destinations in the region such as Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Indonesia....
Many travel companies have closed domestic and international tours, but still open sales of airline ticket, hotel, restaurant booking services... during Tet.
For the domestic market, Vietnam Tourism said that the discovery routes to the Northeast, Northwest, Central, Ho Chi Minh City, the Mekong Delta... are chosen by many customers.
In Hanoi, many tourists have registered for flight tours to Dien Bien and the Central Highlands. As for tours departing by car, Viet Travel is still accepting guests from Phu Yen , Nha Trang, Can Tho, Chau Doc, Kien Giang, Ha Tien, etc. and will close on February 6 (December 27) to ensure time for operations and organization.

"This year's Tet, the trend of booking foreign tours is dominant over domestic tours, at more than 60%. Domestic tourism, destinations with beautiful natural landscapes, unique cultural experiences and a variety of entertainment activities for family groups (Northern tours, island tours) are still the top priorities" - Ms. Phuong Linh said.
Compared to the same period in 2023, the number of customers booking Tet tours at BenThanh Tourist increased by about 20%. However, compared to the period before COVID-19 (2019), the total number of new customers reached about 87% due to the impact of the economic recession, customers tightened their spending budget.
Ho Chi Minh City tourism industry expects to welcome a sharp increase in domestic and international visitors this Tet holiday.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Hien, Deputy Director of PSY Travel Company, also said that PYS's domestic tours are all fully booked for Tet. In particular, peach and plum blossom viewing routes such as Ha Giang and Moc Chau have been fully booked early. Many spring tours from the 3rd day of Tet to the 15th day of the first lunar month have also increased sharply in the past 2 weeks.
This year, in addition to the demand for day trips to visit pagodas, customers are also interested in spring tours that combine pagoda visits and relaxation.
