The Youth Union of Nam Po district strives to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle; actively works creatively, and actively participates in volunteer activities for the community.

In the 3 years (2020 - 2023), in Nam Po district, 6 collectives and 11 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the District People's Committee; 93 collectives and 1,004 individuals received letters of commendation from the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee for studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle. These typical and advanced collectives and individuals are increasingly being replicated in many fields, creating a strong influence, contributing to Party building, building a clean and strong political system, and socio-economic development.

With good methods and creative ways of doing things, the implementation, learning and following of Uncle Ho in Nam Po District Youth Union has been creating clear changes in awareness in the Youth Union organization and the team of cadres, union members and youth in the district; thereby spreading many good deeds, practical and effective activities, promoting the pioneering and creative role of youth. Mr. Nguyen Van Thuy, Secretary of Nam Po District Youth Union shared: "Over the past years, Nam Po youth have constantly strived and practiced following the example of great Uncle Ho, with many practical deeds, building good and creative models, forming a generation of young people living with ideals, ambitions and aspirations to rise up and build their homeland to become more and more developed and beautiful".

Promoting the pioneering, exemplary and responsible spirit, the "Youth Volunteer" movement in Nam Po district has attracted a large number of young people to participate. As a result, the Youth Union has lit up 2.5km of rural roads; coordinated the construction of 3 rural bridges and 1 happy house for students in difficult circumstances; built and handed over 5 youth projects "Playground for children in residential areas" in Na Hy, Cha Cang, Cha Nua communes... Mobilized young people to help people overcome the consequences of natural disasters, dismantle and transport houses, properties, crops, and repair roads eroded by floods. Remember, in mid-2021 when the Covid-19 outbreak appeared in Si Pa Phin commune and then broke out widely. With the spirit of "wherever needed, there are youth, wherever difficult, there are youth", Nam Po youth mobilized human and material resources to actively support quarantine points, transport necessities from gathering points to quarantine points; and donate to support the work of disease prevention and control. Thereby, creating positive changes in awareness and actions regarding training and self-cultivation of young union members to compete in studying and following Uncle Ho.

“Learning and following Uncle Ho is not something far away, but starting from meaningful, practical actions that benefit the village, community, society and daily life” - That is the thought and practical action of farmer Mua A Po, Nam Chim 1 village, Si Pa Phin commune. Mr. Po and his family voluntarily donated 6,000 square meters of land to build a stadium and playground for the commune. Mr. Po happily shared: “Although I know that agricultural land is very valuable for farmers in the highlands, because we make a living thanks to the land. But every time Tet comes, spring comes, or the commune organizes sports and cultural competitions, I am very happy and excited to come with the villagers to watch, cheer, and participate in the games, because my family and I have made a meaningful contribution to the commune's new look today”. Not only voluntarily donating land, Mr. Mua A Po is also an excellent propagandist, actively mobilizing families in the village to participate in donating land and labor to build public works and welfare projects that are beneficial to the community.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of Nam Po District Party Committee shared: "Keeping in mind Uncle Ho's teachings, all levels, sectors and people of all ethnic groups in the mountainous district of Nam Po have been constantly striving to compete in studying, working in production, developing the economy and upholding their roles and responsibilities in each assigned task; making important contributions to the task of building a clean and strong Party and government". From the achieved results, in the coming time, Nam Po District Party Committee will continue to strengthen propaganda and education on the contents of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; proactively discover, introduce and encourage the replication of good experiences, creative and effective ways of doing things, and advanced examples, contributing to promoting economic and social development in the Nam Po border area.
