Dan shared that he has been away from his homeland for 7 years, but he has only started cooking for about 3 years now. “Actually, when I first came to Japan, I didn’t know how to cook, so I just ate quickly, bread in the morning, and instant noodles in the afternoon. Later, when I had 2 days off every week on Saturday and Sunday, I often watched cooking clips on YouTube and TikTok. I liked it so much that I started cooking,” the young man recounted. Since then, every weekend off, Dan would make a menu and buy ingredients to cook, everything was prepared and done by the 9X guy himself. “Because I live alone, sometimes it takes 2 days to cook everything,” Dan said with a smile. The young man shared that finding ingredients to cook Vietnamese food was quite difficult because most supermarkets near his house did not sell them. Therefore, he had to order them online from Vietnamese people. Not only can he cook salty dishes, but even vegetarian dishes are also carefully invested by the 9X guy. “Every month I eat vegetarian food for 3 days,” said Mr. Dan.
