The School of Medicine and Pharmacy of Tra Vinh University was established on February 1, 2024, by merging the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy and the Faculty of Dentistry. The school currently has 6 faculties, including: Medicine, Pharmacy, Public Health, Medical Laboratory Technology, Nursing, and Dentistry. Up to now, the school has 9 undergraduate training majors, 2 master's majors, 9 first-level specialized majors and 1 second-level specialized major.

In 2024, the School of Medicine and Pharmacy (Tra Vinh University) will enroll students in the following majors: General Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, Preventive Medicine, Public Health , Rehabilitation Technology, Medical Imaging Technology.

The school applies many different admission methods: Admission based on high school exam results, high school transcripts, admission based on Ho Chi Minh City National University's capacity assessment test results, etc. The high school transcript admission method does not apply to the majors of General Medicine, Pharmacy and Dentistry.
