Gia Lam farmers feel warm with "Meals of gratitude"

On July 26, Gia Lam Commune Farmers' Association held an incense offering ceremony to commemorate heroic martyrs at Kim Son Martyrs' Cemetery.

In a solemn atmosphere, farmers' association members of Gia Lam commune respectfully offered incense, remembered and expressed deep gratitude for the great contributions of heroic martyrs - those who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

Immediately after the funeral, the Gia Lam Commune Farmers' Association coordinated with the Kien Thanh Residential Group Farmers' Association to organize a "Meal to show gratitude" at the family of Mrs. Tran Thi Tinh, a relative of a martyr, currently living in the residential group.

Farmers' association members cleaned the house together, chatted, asked about health, and prepared a warm meal, expressing the sincere feelings and "When drinking water, remember its source" morality of Gia Lam farmers with policy families.

Previously, the Gia Lam Commune Farmers' Association carried out a series of activities to show gratitude to wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, meritorious people, and policy families in the area, such as: Cleaning the house, cooking "Meal of gratitude" at the house of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Loan, mother of a martyr, in Duong Da village; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Be, wife of a martyr, in Cam village; Mrs. Tran Thi Thai, wife of a martyr in Kieu Ky village; visiting and giving 28 gifts worth 14.5 million VND to wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, meritorious people, and policy families in the commune.

The commune's farmers' associations also gave 55 gifts worth 11 million VND to policy families, war invalids, sick soldiers, and meritorious people.

These are meaningful activities, contributing to spreading gratitude to heroic martyrs and those with meritorious services in the area, while fostering patriotic traditions, connecting the community and fostering national pride in each cadre and farmer member of Gia Lam commune.
