Mr. Do Van Chien: Implementing new models, new thinking, new ways of doing things

On the morning of September 23, the Congress of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) and central mass organizations solemnly opened its session. General Secretary To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and other leaders and former leaders of the Party and State attended the congress.

Speaking at the opening of the congress, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations Do Van Chien emphasized that the first Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations has a very important political significance, not only laying the foundation for the leadership of the Party Committee in this term but also orienting the leadership of the Party Committee in the following terms.

According to Mr. Do Van Chien, the Congress of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations for the 2025-2030 term is the first congress to follow the new model, comprehensively leading the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and people's organizations.

The Congress identified the theme: "Building a clean and strong Party organization; strongly innovating thinking and leadership methods; gathering and mobilizing people of all walks of life to promote democracy and the strength of great national unity, joining hands and hearts to enter an era of national development that is rich, prosperous, civilized and happy."

The Congress also identified tasks, including comprehensively and deeply assessing the results of implementing the Congress Resolution for the 2020-2025 term; determining the directions, goals, and main tasks for the 2025-2030 term.

Along with that is a review of the leadership and direction of the Party Executive Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term.

Mr. Do Van Chien also said that the congress will also discuss and contribute opinions on the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress; at the same time, implement the Politburo's decisions on personnel work.

Promoting people's mastery

Emphasizing the congress' motto of "Solidarity - Democracy - Creativity - Innovation - Development", Mr. Do Van Chien proposed that the congress discuss and contribute many valid opinions to the draft documents submitted to the congress and the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress. Especially the contents related to innovation in the Party's leadership methods; the content of the action program of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations.

"Thoroughly grasp and well implement the guiding ideology of the Politburo and the Secretariat that General Secretary To Lam directed when handing over the decision to establish the Party Committee and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front: "The new model must have new thinking, new ways of doing things, and create new results", Mr. Chien emphasized.

Party Secretary Do Van Chien believes that with the special attention and close direction of the Politburo and the Secretariat, headed by General Secretary To Lam, the first Congress of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations for the 2025-2030 term will be a great success.

The Congress will set out directions, goals, tasks, key solutions, and comprehensive leadership and direction of the activities of the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations assigned tasks by the Party and State.

At the same time, we must play a good political core role, promote the people's mastery, consolidate, strengthen and develop the tradition and strength of great national unity; unite and join hands to realize the aspiration to build a prosperous, strong, civilized and happy socialist Vietnam in the new era.
