The new organizational structure of the Tax Department includes 34 Provincial and Municipal Tax Departments; 350 Basic Tax Units in sync with the 2-level local government organization model. This model allows the Tax Department to operate closely with the local government, covering all revenue sources, increasing the initiative of the local budget.
Accordingly, the previous 20 regional tax branches have been arranged into 34 provincial and municipal tax branches for management to coincide with the provincial administrative units. Regional Tax Branch X is arranged into Thanh Hoa Provincial Tax Branch and Nghe An Provincial Tax Branch.
Representatives of the leaders of the Tax Department of Region X (old) presented flowers to congratulate the new Head of Tax of Thanh Hoa province, Nguyen Van Thuy.
In order to organize the new apparatus to operate smoothly, effectively and efficiently from July 1, the Tax Department requests the Provincial and Municipal Tax Heads; the Local Tax Heads to promptly get to work, approach the area; implement the work of advising the provincial and municipal authorities, coordinate with the local authorities, departments and branches, ensure tax management and settlement of work and administrative procedures for people and businesses are smooth and convenient. Focus on substantially transforming from a management state to serving and supporting taxpayers. Continue to review and promote administrative procedure reform, ensure the information technology infrastructure serving people and businesses operates smoothly and effectively.

At the conference, the Tax Department also announced decisions on appointing officials to tax leadership positions in 34 provinces and cities. Mr. Nguyen Van Thuy, Head of the Tax Department of Region XVII, holds the position of Head of Tax of Thanh Hoa province.
In his speech accepting the assignment, Mr. Nguyen Van Thuy, Head of Thanh Hoa Provincial Tax Department, requested the officers and civil servants of the provincial Tax Department to continue promoting the spirit of solidarity and responsibility; quickly concretize the directive contents into action plans with the spirit of strongly innovating management thinking, evaluating effectiveness in work implementation, focusing on serving and supporting people and businesses.
