More than 5 tons of meat and animal fat of unknown origin were discovered.

On August 12, Dong Thap Provincial Police said that the Police Department investigating crimes of corruption, economics, smuggling, and environment has just filed a case file on 5 cases of meat and animal fat of unknown origin to handle according to regulations.

Previously, the Department of Police Investigation of Crimes on Corruption, Economy , Smuggling, and Environment, Dong Thap Provincial Police coordinated with the Provincial Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, and Binh Phu Commune Police to inspect two business establishments in Binh Phu Commune.

Through inspection of Ms. DTKC's facility in Binh Phu commune, 3,682 kg of meat and animal fat of various types were discovered without quarantine certificates, without invoices or documents, and 8,500 kg of sugar of unknown origin.

At Mr. NHK's business establishment in Hamlet 6, Binh Phu Commune, the force continued to discover 1,750 kg of meat and animal fat without legal documents.

The cases are being further verified and handled by the authorities.
