80 years of construction, fighting, serving in combat and growing up, although the name and organization have changed many times, but with the attention of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense , the leadership and direct direction of the Party Committee Standing Committee, the Head of the General Staff, the Logistics Department has overcome all difficulties, in any circumstances has strived to rise up, successfully completed the tasks of the staff agency, ensuring logistics, engineering and other tasks for the General Staff - the Ministry of National Defense.

In the period of 2020-2025, the Logistics Department will implement the new organizational and staffing structure according to the decision of the Ministry, with increased tasks and affiliated units, and dispersed stations. In addition to performing regular tasks, the unit also carries out many ad hoc tasks; the situation of natural disasters and epidemics, especially the Covid-19 epidemic, is complicated, greatly affecting the process of deploying and performing tasks. Despite many difficulties, the Party Committee and commanders of the Logistics Department and Party committees and commanders at all levels have thoroughly grasped and strictly implemented the directives and resolutions of superiors; successfully completed key political tasks, many tasks were excellently completed; the unit is increasingly stable and firmly developed, the Party Committee of the Department is always strong in politics, ideology, ethics, organization and staff.

Notably, it has performed well the function of advising and proposing to the Party Committee Standing Committee, the Head of the General Staff and guiding and implementing the completion of logistics and technical work targets, many of which are higher than the previous term. Proactively ensuring good logistics and technical work for tasks, focusing on training and combat readiness (SSCD); guiding and directing the strict maintenance of technical work regimes; managing, preserving and using weapons, equipment and vehicles in accordance with regulations, meeting the requirements of regular and unexpected tasks. Advised and organized well military training sessions, physical education and sports activities, fostering national defense and security knowledge; promptly reviewed, adjusted and supplemented plans, organized SSCD transition exercises; inspected, guided the adjustment, supplementation and completion of SSCD plans and schemes, fire prevention and fighting; strictly maintained environmental sanitation, practiced thrift and combat waste.

Party committees and commanders at all levels regularly do a good job of political and ideological education, building cadres, employees and soldiers with steadfast and firm political will, and successfully completing assigned duties and tasks. Organize and effectively implement the Emulation Movement for Victory in conjunction with the implementation of emulation campaigns and movements of the sectors. Pay attention to taking care of regimes and policies for cadres, employees and soldiers; coordinate with local Party committees and authorities to carry out policy work for the Army's rear and mass mobilization work in the stationed areas...

With the achievements over the past 80 years, the Logistics Department has been honored to be awarded: 2 Third Class Fatherland Protection Medals, First and Third Class Military Exploit Medals, First Class Military Exploit Medals, 2 Third Class Military Exploit Medals; many collectives and individuals have been awarded noble rewards.

In the coming years, the world and regional situation is forecast to continue to develop rapidly and complicatedly. The tasks of protecting the Fatherland and building the Army will be adjusted and supplemented; the General Staff and the Logistics Department will continue to adjust the organization and staffing towards streamlining, compactness, strength, and effective and efficient operations. Promoting the 80-year tradition, the Logistics Department will continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels and annual military and defense work orders; concretizing them with leadership and direction policies and measures that are close to the assigned functions and tasks, suitable to the practical situation. Focus on effectively implementing the identified breakthroughs, focusing on research, consulting, proposing directions and instructions on innovation in logistics and technical assurance methods according to the new staffing schedule, meeting the requirements of building a modern Army with the motto "on-site is the main, mobility is important".

Continue to promote the emulation movement "The Army Logistics Sector follows Uncle Ho's teachings" and the 50 Campaign; strive to comprehensively complete the objectives of logistics and technical work. Improve the quality of health care for soldiers; maintain a high level of health; promote production, improve the material and spiritual life of soldiers. Advise on the effective implementation of basic construction work; strictly manage barracks and defense land; invest in the construction of works, barracks, public houses, social housing, contributing to solving the housing needs of officers and employees. Innovate and improve professionalism in security and service work; manage and promote the effectiveness of guest houses and kindergartens.

Lead and direct the promotion of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in conjunction with the implementation of Resolution No. 847 of the Central Military Commission, the Campaign to Promote Tradition, Devote Talents, and Be Worthy of Uncle Ho's Soldiers in the New Era and regulations on revolutionary ethical standards of cadres and party members. Improve the quality of regular construction; strictly maintain regulations; build a strong, comprehensive, "exemplary, typical" unit.
