Regarding the case of more than 40 students hospitalized due to poisoning in Quang Tri , on local social networks, an audio recording, along with a clip with words said to be from Ms. Do Thi Hong Hue, the school's vice principal, was circulated, resolutely refusing to allow students showing signs of poisoning to be taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.
The 44-second audio recording and clip were filmed in the medical room of Kim Thuy Primary Boarding School and featured the presence of Mr. Do Van My - principal, Ms. Hue, school health worker, a homeroom teacher and about ten students with symptoms of poisoning.
"I confirm 100% that you are fine"
According to the recording, accompanied by the clip, the person believed to be Ms. Hue specifically instructed Ms. Truong Thi Q. (the school's medical staff) to give any student any medicine that must be witnessed by the principal and vice principal.
Ms. Q. replied that it had to be handled first, but the vice principal said it had to be handled but there had to be a leader.
After the school health staff's request (to the principal and vice principal) to take the students to the hospital, Ms. Hue said: "Please leave them where they are. I can confirm 100% that they are fine. Do not take them to the hospital. We, the principal and vice principal, have to handle the work. The students are fine. Leave them there. There is no problem at all."
Regarding the incident, Ms. Q. confirmed that the incident happened exactly as shown in the clip and recording. According to Ms. Q., from about 7:15 a.m., the students started to show symptoms of vomiting and stomachache, so they were taken to the medical room for first aid.

By around 7:30, the number of students with symptoms had reached dozens, so Ms. Q. suggested to Ms. Hue and Mr. Do Van My to take the students to the hospital.
"Because at that time, the number of students with symptoms was very large, some of them had serious symptoms, so I asked the vice principal to contact the parents to take the students to the hospital. However, Ms. Hue prevented it and asked to leave the students there," said Ms. Q.
According to Ms. Q., it was not until 8:30 a.m., more than an hour after parents heard the news that their children were poisoned and crowded the medical room and put pressure on them, that the vice principal allowed the students to go to the hospital.
"At the time the vice principal instructed not to take the student to the hospital, the principal also witnessed it with the same 5th grade homeroom teacher," Ms. Q. added.
Symptoms become dangerous if not taken to hospital
Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Ngo Duc Van - Director of Le Thuy General Hospital - confirmed that a total of 40 students from Kim Thuy Primary Boarding School were taken to the emergency room with symptoms of vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. Although not serious, it still affects the survival rate.
"These are all symptoms of gastroenteritis suspected to be caused by poisoning, so we gave them IV fluids and antibiotics. As of this morning, the children are stable," said Mr. Van.
According to Mr. Van, if this symptom is not treated and medication is not used promptly, the poisoning can become more serious.
Meanwhile, Mr. Dang Van Duong - Chairman of Kim Ngan Commune People's Committee - said that he had received the recording and transferred it to the police to investigate and handle the case.
"Everything will be clear. Whoever is wrong must take responsibility. There will be no covering up of wrongdoing," Mr. Duong affirmed.
Responding to Tuoi Tre Online about not allowing the students to go to the hospital, Ms. Hue repeatedly denied and affirmed that she had proactively called the principal to request that the students be taken to the hospital as soon as she discovered the poisoning. She then said she was not feeling well and refused to say more.
As reported by Tuoi Tre Online , at around 8am on September 26, after breakfast, dozens of students at Kim Thuy Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities showed symptoms of stomachache, vomiting, and diarrhea...
Then the school coordinated with the authorities and parents to mobilize vehicles to transport 40 students to Le Thuy General Hospital for treatment.
