Thanking her for her good feelings towards Vietnam, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Bui Thanh Son highly appreciated the outstanding contributions of the Director General in the past two terms, contributing to raising the role and position of UNESCO.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to multilateral cooperation and the role of UNESCO, continues to promote its role as a responsible member in UNESCO's five key operating mechanisms, assigns personnel to important positions, proactively contributes to the Organization's efforts in promoting dialogue, solidarity and cooperation among countries, and promotes the role of culture in the United Nations' post-2030 development agenda.

The Director General shared her impressions of her meeting with General Secretary To Lam yesterday; expressed deep gratitude for Vietnam's strong support and commitment, affirmed that Vietnam is a strategic and trustworthy partner of UNESCO, and hoped that Vietnam will continue to contribute more to UNESCO's activities and the common work of the world.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister shared four breakthrough pillars in the era of national development, and asked UNESCO to continue to accompany him in policy advice, improve the quality of human resources, and strengthen public-private partnerships, especially in emerging fields such as AI, semiconductors, renewable energy, and scientific data.
Expressing her impression of Vietnam's strategic vision and its ability to become a regional hub of knowledge and innovation, she emphasized that UNESCO is ready to cooperate in building a Regional Training Center on AI in Vietnam, as well as supporting the establishment of a UNESCO Chair (International cooperation mechanism between universities and UNESCO) on AI and data science at Vietnamese universities, and public-private partnerships with Vietnamese corporations in knowledge-based development initiatives.

Director General Audrey Azoulay agreed with the Deputy Prime Minister's proposal, hoping that UNESCO would continue to support efforts to preserve and register world heritage sites, especially supporting the restoration of Kinh Thien Palace and the main space of Kinh Thien Palace at Thang Long Imperial Citadel as soon as possible, supporting the registration of the Complex of Monuments and Landscapes of Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac and supporting the construction of nomination dossiers such as Co Loa Citadel, Oc Eo - Ba The archaeological site, Con Moong Cave, and Cu Chi Tunnels.
The Director General affirmed that Vietnam is a typical example of cooperation with UNESCO with many specific results; UNESCO heritage titles in Vietnam have contributed to preserving and promoting the cultural values and traditions of the nation, improving people's livelihoods, supporting sustainable socio-economic development, demonstrating the practicality and effectiveness of multilateral cooperation for local and national development.

In recognition of UNESCO's contributions and commitment, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister presented Ms. Audrey Azoulay with the Medal "For the cause of Vietnamese Diplomacy", recognizing not only the Director General's contributions to the protection and promotion of Vietnam's cultural heritage, but also affirming the strategic partnership between Vietnam and UNESCO. Expressing her honor to receive the Medal, Ms. Azoulay affirmed her commitment to continue accompanying Vietnam in preserving, promoting and disseminating the values of human heritage and knowledge.
