After listening to reports from localities, agencies and functional forces on the situation of storm No. 5 and response work, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha emphasized that storm No. 5 is a very strong storm with complex developments and a long duration. Forecasts of the storm's path are relatively accurate, so functional forces and localities must not be negligent or subjective.

The Deputy Prime Minister also requested that the media provide early and complete information to help people grasp and respond to storms effectively.

“The storm will last from 11am to 6pm the same day, so we should not be complacent. Sometimes the wind is light when the eye of the storm passes, but then it becomes strong, so we request that full information be provided for people to grasp the developments,” Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha emphasized.

Forecasting heavy rainfall during and after the storm, low-lying and vulnerable areas are prone to flooding, landslides and extremely dangerous landslides, so the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the current work prioritizes storm prevention but needs to have a clear plan in the scenario to identify vulnerable areas, prone to flooding and landslides, to mobilize forces and means to handle incidents and landslides to clear roads. Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha emphasized the spirit of "4 on-site", focusing on villages and hamlets to deploy storm prevention and control work.

Localities should check and make early proposals, resolutely eliminating incidents due to subjectivity.

After a quick meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister and relevant ministries, departments, branches and agencies inspected vulnerable areas and dams in the Ha Tinh area./.
