On the morning of October 13, the 24th Road to Olympia Final took place at the main bridge at studio S14, Vietnam Television and 4 bridges in Hanoi, Gia Lai, Thua Thien Hue and Phu Yen .
This year, the 4 excellent candidates competing in the final round of Road to Olympia 2024 are: the young man from Hanoi - Nguyen Nguyen Phu, Tran Trung Kien from Phu Yen, Nguyen Quoc Nhat Minh from Gia Lai and Vo Quang Phu Duc (Thua Thien - Hue). Each "climber" has a long list of achievements that makes the audience admire and eagerly await this year's competition.
In the Finish Line round, male student Nhat Minh from the Central Highlands chose the 20-20-30 question package in the Finish Line round.
The first question, Trung Kien won the right to answer correctly. The second question, Nhat Minh scored. The last question, Phu Duc won the right to answer. Nhat Minh got 85 points.
Phuc Duc leads with 220 points. Accordingly, male student Phu Duc won the Road to Olympia Championship this year.
Winning the laurel wreath of the third quarter competition, Vo Quang Phu Duc, a student of Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted in Hue (Thua Thien - Hue) was the one who brought the live television broadcast to Thua Thien Hue this year. This is the 7th time that Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted in Hue has had a student enter the final round of the Road to Olympia and the 2nd time in a row.
Phu Duc is good at Mathematics, likes to find practical applications of a theorem to memorize it. In addition, Duc also likes to roll up his blanket tightly and study when it is cold, the male student finds that the warmth helps him remember longer.
The Olympia champion will be awarded a gold-plated laurel wreath. The producer has not announced the prize this year. Last year, the winner received a prize of 50,000 USD (more than 1.2 billion VND), the second prize was 200 million VND, and the two third prizes were 100 million VND each.
The laurel wreath for the only winner in the final round of Road to Olympia 2024 is made of copper and plated with 18k gold. The laurel wreath is still crafted by designer Do Van Tri (stage name To-Ri).
Designer Do Van Tri also revealed that the laurel wreath with each leaf cut and carved by hand. Every small detail shows the sophistication and ingenuity affirming the value of the champion's efforts and perseverance.
