Accordingly, Dong Thuan ward was established on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population of Loc Ninh commune, Quang Phu commune and Bac Ly ward (old Dong Hoi city). After establishment, Dong Thuan ward has a natural area of ​​26.49 km2 ^; population of 38,521 people. The working headquarters of Dong Thuan ward includes 2 locations, including: Party Committee, Fatherland Front and mass organizations at Quang Phu commune headquarters; People's Council, People's Committee at Bac Ly ward headquarters.

At the meeting, the grassroots cadres shared many opinions and experiences in the process of building and developing the locality, especially the period before and after the merger.
