Central Power Corporation: Mobilizing nearly 350 personnel to support Quang Tri and Ha Tinh after storm No. 10

QTO - News from the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) on September 29 said that immediately after storm No. 10 caused heavy damage to the power system in the North Central provinces, EVNCPC held an urgent meeting to deploy plans to mobilize forces and means.

On that basis, EVNCPC mobilized 340 engineers and workers from 7 member power companies and the Central Power Service Company to urgently support post-storm troubleshooting in the two provinces of Quang Tri and Ha Tinh .

When storm No. 10 made landfall in the Northern Quang Tri - Ha Tinh region, it caused a series of power poles to fall, many medium and low voltage lines to be cut off, and thousands of transformer stations to lose power. In Quang Tri alone, initial statistics recorded more than 200 power poles to fall, with Quang Trach and Bo Trach areas suffering the most severe damage. Previously, on September 28, the EVNCPC Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue was present at the scene to directly direct the response and quickly overcome the incident, and soon restore power to serve the people.

Specifically, EVNCPC has provided 205 people to Quang Tri Power Company (PC), including: 60 people from Hue PC, 50 people from Da Nang PC, 30 people from Quang Ngai PC, 25 people from Khanh Hoa PC and 40 people from Central Power Services Company.

For PC Ha Tinh (under the Northern Power Corporation), EVNCPC mobilized 125 employees, including 40 people from PC Dak Lak, 50 people from PC Gia Lai and 35 people from Khanh Hoa Power Joint Stock Company.

Before leaving for the mission, EVNCPC General Director Ngo Tan Cu requested: In addition to the on-site force of PC Quang Tri, the mobilized units must fully prepare means of transport, equipment, protective gear and depart in the morning and early afternoon of September 29 to be present in Quang Tri and Ha Tinh on time.

The goal is that today, PC Quang Tri will try to restore power to 90% of customers, prioritizing hospitals, key agencies and essential residential areas; at the same time, strive to restore the entire damaged power grid within 3 days, ensuring it is restored by October 2.

In addition, EVNCPC requires that restoring the power grid after the storm is not only a production and business task but also a social responsibility of the enterprise to the community. Therefore, EVNCPC calls on all cadres, workers, engineers, and supporting forces to promote a sense of responsibility, solidarity, and close coordination with other units and local authorities to quickly handle the incident, restore power to the storm center, contributing to stabilizing the lives and production of the people of Quang Tri and Ha Tinh.
