“My house was completely blown off at around 1am when the wind blew so hard. Fortunately, there were no casualties. Right after the storm (on the morning of September 29), although it was still raining outside, I mobilized some neighbors and relatives to urgently overcome the consequences of storm No. 10. To have tiles to re-roof my house, I had to buy and ask for tiles from the remaining families in the village…”, said Mr. Toan.

For many hours, storm No. 10 raged over a large area. The storm's strong winds caused many houses to have their roofs blown off, many trees and civil works as well as infrastructure to fall.
Mr. Pham Van Lam, Nam Lanh village, Phu Trach commune shared: It was really terrible, guys!. At around 11 pm on September 28, my whole family was sitting in the house to take shelter from the storm when we heard a loud noise. We opened the door and saw that an electric pole in front of the house had been broken by the storm wind. After the storm passed, I went to do a preliminary check and saw that the broken electric pole had fallen on the roof of the house; at the same time, it damaged the family's necessary items and 2 motorbikes...

As for Mr. Vo Viet Ha, a security guard of JSC Company in Hon La Seaport Industrial Park, said that storm No. 10 with its terrible wind and rain had knocked down many trees, electric poles, and had the roofs of many houses blown off. In the company's production area, many roofs were blown away by the wind, causing great damage to the company's production in the coming time. Currently, the company is focusing its human resources to overcome the consequences of storm No. 10.

According to the report of Phu Trach commune authorities, as of 1 p.m. on September 29, storm No. 10 did not cause any human casualties, but two small fishing boats sank near the shore in Phu Xuan village. The entire commune had about 2,150 houses with their roofs blown off; a number of industrial works, power pole systems, telecommunication networks, and people's houses; many trees and aquaculture areas, afforestation areas, and other auxiliary works were damaged, collapsed, or broken.
In addition, school buildings had their roofs blown off, fences collapsed, outdoor equipment damaged, and some cultural, agricultural, forestry, and industrial fishery losses have not been counted...
