Vietnamese player failed
In this round, Vietnam billiards had a representative, Pham Phuong Nam. But against a very strong opponent, Moritz Neuhausen (Germany), he could not create any shock. On a day when Phuong Nam was unlucky and Moritz also performed very well, the representative of the host had to accept defeat 0-2 with the same score of 1-4 in 2 sets.
This defeat officially stopped Nam "speed" from this year's tournament. Previously, Nguyen Bao Chau and Nguyen Van Huynh were also eliminated. Thus, Duong Quoc Hoang (Hoang Sao) will be the only representative of Vietnamese billiards to participate in the knockout round.
Phuong Nam had to stop, leaving Vietnamese billiards with only one representative, Hoang Sao.

Philippine Billiards Still Has Hope
On the international players' side, defending champion Carlo Biado (Philippines), after losing to Ko Ping Chung (Taiwan) on September 23, quickly regained his form and overwhelmingly defeated Estonian opponent Denis Grabe with a score of 2-0 (4-1, 4-2) to enter the Last 32 round.
Hoang Sao's "loser" Naoyuki Oi also defeated a very strong opponent in the loser's bracket from Albania, Eklent Kaci, to win a ticket to the next round.
