Military Medicine of Naval Region 5 needs to focus on applying new medical techniques to take care of the health of officers and soldiers.

Rear Admiral Nguyen Huu Thoan, Political Commissar of Region 5, made this statement at the meeting to celebrate the 69th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2024) of the Naval Region 5 Command, which took place on the afternoon of February 27 in Kien Giang province.

At the meeting, Rear Admiral Nguyen Huu Thoan acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the efforts, attempts and achievements of the Military Medical Sector in the Region in recent times and sent best wishes to the doctors on the occasion of Vietnamese Doctors' Day.

He expressed his hope that the region's doctors and medical staff would continue to uphold their traditions, actively study, improve their expertise and medical ethics; master scientific advances, and apply more new and modern medical techniques, contributing to improving the quality of admission, treatment, and health care for officers, soldiers, and people in the area.

The delegates reviewed the glorious journey with great achievements of the health sector in general and the military medical sector in particular in the career of caring for and protecting the health of officers, soldiers and people; and listened to the congratulatory letter on Vietnam Doctors' Day from the Party Committee and the Navy Command.

Lieutenant Nguyen Van Duc, representing young doctors and nurses of Naval Region 5, spoke at the meeting to celebrate the 69th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day.

Representing the young doctors, Lieutenant Nguyen Van Duc, Doctor of Treatment Team 78, Logistics and Technical Department of Naval Region 5, said that he will actively study, improve his knowledge, practice skills to improve his professional qualifications, contributing to building a team of officers and doctors in the Region that are both "red" and "specialized", meeting the requirements of the mission, further enhancing the good qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers - Navy soldiers" and the medical ethics of military doctors in the new era.

On this occasion, the Naval Region 5 Command presented flowers and many meaningful gifts to the unit's medical staff.
