Quang Nam adds 38 project lists to change the purpose of using rice-growing land and protective forest land.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province decided to approve the addition of 38 lists of projects to change the purpose of using rice-growing land and protective forest land in 2024, which were approved by the Provincial People's Council in Resolution No. 24, dated July 11, 2024, and approved the addition to the 2024 Land Use Plan of the following districts, towns and cities: Nam Giang, Tay Giang, Dai Loc, Duy Xuyen, Que Son, Hiep Duc, Thang Binh, Bac Tra My, Nui Thanh, Dien Ban, Tam Ky.

The total area of ​​land use purpose conversion of 38 additional project categories is 70.57 hectares. Of which, land specialized in wet rice cultivation is 17.98 hectares, remaining wet rice cultivation land is 0.33 hectares, and protective forest land is 0.33 hectares.

Of these, there are 20 project categories using state budget capital with a total area of ​​52.53 hectares and 18 project categories using non-state budget capital with a total area of ​​18.04 hectares.

The localities with the largest number of additional project lists are Dien Ban town and Que Son district (12 projects each).

The Provincial People's Committee requests the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to publicly announce the list of projects to change the purpose of using rice land and protective forest land approved to be added to the 2024 land use plan and implement land procedures, invest in projects in accordance with legal regulations; update the results of implementing the 2024 land use plan to report to the Provincial People's Committee as prescribed.

For the list of proposed changes to the purpose of using rice-growing land to implement industrial cluster projects: review and carefully assess environmental impacts, have plans for relocation, resettlement and support for appropriate career conversion for subjects in cases of land recovery and change of purpose of using rice-growing land before project implementation, especially projects with large areas of rice-growing land.
