On the afternoon of September 29, the Da Nang City Border Guard said that the unit had just organized an emergency rescue, overcoming big waves to bring 3 people from Cu Lao Cham in Tan Hiep island commune to the mainland for emergency treatment safely.
Earlier, at around 8am the same day, Cu Lao Cham Border Guard Station in Tan Hiep island commune, Da Nang city received information that 3 patients on the island were seriously ill and needed to be brought ashore immediately. Immediately, Da Nang city Border Guard mobilized boat BP 08.1501 with Major Mai Hoai Linh, Deputy Captain and 5 officers and soldiers to carry out the mission.
At 12:15, the rescue team received 3 patients from Cu Lao Cham Border Guard Station and the military-civilian medical station on the island. The cases include: Ms. Nguyen Thi Qui (81 years old, Bai Lang village) suspected of having a stroke; Mr. Nguyen Van Thu (55 years old, Bai Ong village) suffering from gastrointestinal bleeding; Mr. Ngo Tan My (57 years old, Bai Huong village) bitten by a dog.
Identifying the patients who needed emergency care, especially two serious cases of suspected stroke and hemorrhage, officers and soldiers of boat BP 08.1501 asked the Commander's order and urgently decided to bring the patients ashore.
Despite the difficult weather conditions at sea this morning, with big waves and strong winds, the rescue team made great efforts to overcome the waves and brought 3 patients, 5 family members and 1 doctor to the mainland safely at 1:15 p.m. The patients were then transferred to the 115 Emergency Center in Da Nang for further treatment./.
