Quang Ninh has the first restaurant that meets National Halal standards.

On May 29, in Ha Long City, the National Halal Certification Center - Halcert (under the National Committee for Standards and Quality, Ministry of Science and Technology) awarded the Halal certificate to the Middle Eastern barbecue restaurant Nan n Kabab (Bai Chay ward, Ha Long City).

This is the first restaurant in Ha Long to achieve Halal standards as certified by Halcert, and is also the first restaurant to achieve TCVN14230:2024 standards issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology for Muslim-friendly tourism services.

Nan n Kabab Middle Eastern Grill Restaurant is a franchise of the famous Halal restaurant chain that has been operating in Vietnam for more than 10 years. The restaurant specializes in dishes in the style of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey, and Arabia, bringing culinary experiences that are friendly to the Muslim community. The highlight is the Halal dishes made from fresh ingredients, meeting the highest standards: Grilled meat (kebab), curry, pilaf rice, flatbread (naan, roti), yogurt sauce, herbs such as mint, turmeric, cinnamon... The dishes have a rich flavor, using rich spices but little oil. In addition, the restaurant space is also extremely cozy, imbued with Islamic culture, along with friendly service, meeting the needs of international tourists and the Muslim community in Vietnam.

Halal food has very strict regulations, only using fresh and clean ingredients and permitted to be used according to Islamic regulations, no alcohol or any alcoholic beverages, slaughtering livestock and poultry must be in the correct order and method. Therefore, to achieve Halcert standards, food service establishments must meet extremely strict requirements.

Along with ensuring the quality and reputation of a brand that meets Muslim-friendly tourism standards, the restaurant will promote its connection with the supply chain of travel, resort, and shopping services for Halal tourists in Vietnam, while connecting with the international Halal tourism network, attracting a large number of tourists from Muslim countries as well as Muslim communities around the world to Quang Ninh, Vietnam.

Halal food service not only exploits a potential tourist market, but also contributes to enhancing the image of a friendly, culturally diverse city, ready to serve international visitors according to global standards. In addition, gradually forming tourist facilities that meet the standards to welcome Halal tourists in Quang Ninh - a key market that the Vietnamese tourism industry is aiming for.

Quang Ninh is the first locality in the country to sign a cooperation agreement with the QUACERT Certification Center (Ministry of Science and Technology) on implementing Muslim-friendly tourism standards. When completed, Quang Ninh will be the first locality in the country to implement the Halal Standards in the tourism sector, contributing to the development of the Halal industry, implementing the Project "Enhancing international cooperation to build and develop Vietnam's Halal industry by 2030" approved by the Prime Minister on February 14, 2023.
