Quang Ninh: Spreading the movement of studying and training

Over the years, the province has always paid attention to education and training. Along with investing in infrastructure, the province has had many policies to encourage the learning and training movement among students. In response to that interest, students in the province have strived to compete in learning and training, achieving many outstanding achievements.

The province prioritizes resources from the investment budget to upgrade the infrastructure of the education and training system towards standards and modernity, creating conditions for students to enjoy the best educational environment. In particular, the province allocates resources to invest in building schools according to high-quality criteria and building new schools with synchronous, spacious and modern designs, creating a comprehensive development environment for students, such as: Hon Gai High School, Ngo Quyen High School, Quang La Secondary and High School (Ha Long City); Binh Lieu High School (Binh Lieu District); Ba Che Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (Ba Che District); Dong Ngu Primary School (Tien Yen District)...

Along with that, the province has many specific policies to support lecturers, teachers, children, and students. Quang Ninh is the leading locality in the country in supporting 100% of tuition fees for students. Typically, in the 3 school years 2021-2022, 2022-2023 and 2024-2025, the province has spent hundreds of billions of VND to support tuition fees for preschool children, high school students, and continuing education students studying at educational institutions in the province...

In addition to the province's attention, the provincial Education sector closely directs and launches many emulation movements among students. The provincial Youth Union and Student Association at all levels effectively maintain the movements "5 Good Students" (Good Study - Good Ethics - Good Skills - Good Integration - Good Physical Strength), "3 Good Students" (Good Ethics - Good Study - Good Physical Strength). Right from the beginning of each school year, students of schools register for titles and carry out the movements; schools build propaganda columns about examples of "5 Good Students", "3 Good Students" on the Union's social networking sites; organize forums to share experiences, support students in determining goals to strive for titles. The Youth Union of schools launches many volunteer movements: Volunteer campaigns "Green Summer", "Red Flamboyant", "Supporting Exam Season", "Youth with Border Spring", voluntary blood donation...; thereby creating an environment for students to practice, overcome challenges and mature.

Students in the province participated in the ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense and Security Day at the Vietnam-Japan Labor Cultural Palace (Ha Long City).

Schools strengthen theoretical education for students through the "Training Youth Union members" program, associated with assessing the quality of youth union members. Many schools organize the study of political theory lessons suitable to the specific conditions of the school; send students to participate in the Conference to study 5 political theory lessons in 2024 organized by the Youth Union of Provincial Agencies; deploy the installation of the "Vietnamese Youth" application and test the study of the Resolution of the 12th National Youth Union Congress, the Resolution of the 11th Vietnam Student Association Congress...

Many schools organize practical activities for students. Typically, the Youth Union of Ha Long University organizes to honor collectives and individuals of "5 Good Students at school level", exchanges between clubs, teams, and groups; the "SPELLIG BEE 2024" contest; a volunteer program for the community; a thematic activity to celebrate President Ho Chi Minh's birthday; a summer activity "English for the community"; a "Teach well, study well, actively do scientific research" emulation movement; the "Student start-up" program, focusing on supporting students with knowledge, skills, connections, and supporting the initial conditions for starting a business; training on start-up knowledge for union members and students...

Hon Gai High School (Ha Long City) promotes the emulation movement "3 Good Students", "Good Study Day - Good Study Week - Good Study Month"; actively responds to the movement "Ha Long Youth Study and Follow Ho Chi Minh's Thought, Morality and Style"... In 2024, the Party Committee of Hon Gai High School organized the admission of 7 Party members who are excellent students of the school, with excellent achievements in studying and training, good sense of discipline, high achievements in excellent student competitions at all levels, excellent achievements in union work and youth movements in 3 years of studying at the school. This is a special mark for students, demonstrating the correct policy of the Party Committees at all levels in developing Party members for students. Competing to teach well and study well in schools, the province's education and training work has achieved many important achievements in recent times. In the 2023-2024 school year, the whole province had 434 students achieving the title of "3 Good Students" at the school level, 24 students achieving "3 Good Students" at the provincial level; 29 students achieving "5 Good Students" and 5 "5 Good Student Collectives" at the provincial level... This is an important basis for students to be considered for the "January Star", "5 Good Students", "3 Good Students" awards at the central level and considered for admission to the Party. Especially from March 2024, after implementing the "Youth Offering to the Party" movement, the whole Union had 487/907 outstanding union members recommended for admission to the Party, of which 88 party members were students. At the 2024 National High School Student Excellent Exam, Quang Ninh ranked 8th for the first time in the top 10 provinces and cities with the highest rate of excellent students in the country.
