Quang Tri strengthens environmental protection management

On September 25, news from the People's Committee of Quang Tri province said that the locality will strengthen state management of environmental protection in the province.

Accordingly, after the People's Representative Newspaper's reflection on people's concerns related to the factory's operations in Dong Thuan ward ( Quang Tri ), the Provincial People's Committee issued a document assigning functional agencies to coordinate with relevant units and localities to strengthen state management of environmental protection in the province.

Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee requests Dong Thuan Ward People's Committee to direct the strengthening of inspection and supervision of the implementation of environmental protection requirements during the operation of New Asia Aluminum Profile Factory; promptly detect violations (if any) in environmental protection work to handle according to authority or recommend competent authorities to handle according to law. At the same time, strengthen propaganda to inform people about the operation and waste treatment (wastewater, exhaust gas...) of the Factory to ensure security and order in the area.

Regarding the production unit, Quang Tri province requires New Asia Industrial Company Limited to fully and seriously implement the legal regulations on environmental protection and the recommendations of the Department of Agriculture and Environment; absolutely ensure that no environmental pollution occurs during the factory's operation.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment shall preside over and coordinate with relevant units and localities to strengthen state management of environmental protection in the province; supervise compliance with legal regulations on environmental protection and the implementation of requirements in Official Dispatch No. 1845/SNNMT-QLMT dated September 1, 2025 for New Asia Industrial Company Limited; handle violations (if any) according to authority in accordance with the provisions of law; absolutely do not allow environmental pollution to occur in the province.
