Accordingly, voters recommended that the Ministry of Transport soon submit to the Government the project to upgrade Ho Chi Minh road through Thanh Hoa province.
Responding to this content, the Ministry of Transport said that according to the road network planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, the 130km long Ho Chi Minh road section passing through Thanh Hoa province is planned to become the North - South expressway in the West with a scale of 4 lanes, with the investment process after 2030. Currently, the route is at the scale of a grade III mountain road, with 2 lanes.
The Ministry of Transport acknowledged the voters' recommendations and said that in the coming time, based on transportation needs, the ability to balance resources and capital allocation principles according to regulations, the Ministry of Transport will direct relevant units to study and prepare investments as a basis for reporting to competent authorities for consideration and decision.
