We learned that in this year's exercise, the Air Defense - Air Force Service has put an automated command post into service to command combat operations of the forces; brought cyberspace combat situations for commanders to handle closely to the requirements of modern warfare; shortened the time for preparation work as well as practice exercises...
In order for the exercise to achieve its goals and requirements, the 375th Air Defense Division and the 372nd Air Force Division have made thorough preparations from human resources, weapons, equipment, battlefields to logistics and technical support in wartime conditions. Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Bao, Political Commissar of the 375th Air Defense Division, said: “Immediately after receiving the Exercise Directive from the Service Commander, the Division Party Committee issued a specialized resolution to lead the implementation of the exercise task. The division leaders and commanders have made thorough preparations in all aspects, built a complete system of documents; focused on training and improving the qualifications of commanders and agencies.”
Following each training issue in each phase of the exercise, we found that the team of officers in charge of the agencies and units had a firm grasp and correctly implemented the order and content of the command and operational staff steps in the process of transitioning to combat readiness (SSCD), organizing combat preparation and practicing combat. The commander and the agency correctly and fully implemented the steps of transitioning to SSCD from regular to high. The commander regularly exchanged and coordinated well with the political commissar in deploying tasks. The conferences were conducted in the correct order, with content close to the tasks of each unit. The practical troops of the 375th Air Defense Division, such as: Battalion 177 (Missile Regiment 282); Company 4, Company 10 (Air Defense Artillery Regiment 224)... maneuvered, occupied, and deployed equipment from regular positions to the picnic area to prepare for combat at night, ensuring time and absolute safety.

During the combat practice phase, the division command went to the units to monitor seriously, promptly transferred the level, and brought the forces to level 1 according to the combat stages in accordance with the approved mission and combat plan. The commander and political commissar regularly consulted and agreed on leadership policies and measures. The air force units determined the right time to transfer the unit to level 1, the time to take off, determined to destroy the enemy, used the force appropriately, according to the plan, hit the right target, and organized safe flight exercises. The air defense units handled well the situations that occurred in combat, practiced shooting water bullets to ensure safety. Colonel Pham Quoc Vuong, Deputy Division Commander of the 372nd Air Force Division, said: Through the exercise, the troops had confidence in their existing weapons and equipment; better understand the enemy's plots, tricks and tactics, thereby having plans to prevent and avoid counterattacking in the early stages when the enemy uses high-tech weapons attacks in non-contact form or non-contact combined with direct contact.
At the conference to review experiences after the exercise, Major General Pham Tuan Anh, Deputy Commander of the Air Defense - Air Force Service, requested units to strengthen research, grasp the combat objects, combat areas, plots, tricks, especially new combat methods, the development of weapons, tactics, and enemy air fire attack tricks; continue to research the organization, arrangement and use of forces suitable for combat missions in the Central Highlands region, close to mission requirements; strengthen combat training in general, and drill training in particular to improve the combat readiness and combat capabilities of troops to meet the requirements of modern operations...
