On August 8, global girl group BlackPink will officially enter their 7th year of activity.
Meanwhile, the group has yet to conclude their Born Pink world tour and information about their contract with YG Entertainment has yet to be revealed.
The biggest concern of investors and fans right now is whether the 4 girls will renew their contracts with YG or not?

A YG official revealed to Herald Corp that the group's world tour will last until the end of August, and it is likely that the current contract can be maintained until the tour ends.
"There may be changes as the deal is soon to be finalised, but the world tour is already scheduled, so the current contract could last until the end of August. The time to announce a contract extension could be after September," the person said.
In fact, BlackPink accounts for more than 80% of YG's profits, every piece of information about the girls directly affects the company's stock. Therefore, the deposit in the contract is also a matter of concern.
Researcher Cha Yoo Mi commented: "Looking at the deposit amount of Bigbang (1 billion KRW/person) and Twice (1.2 billion KRW/person), the deposit for each BlackPink member will be around 1-1.5 billion KRW (about 18-27 billion VND)".
In that context, Herald Corp revealed that there was information that not only Lisa but also Jenny, Jisoo, and Rosé had signed entertainment contracts overseas and established their own companies.
Amidst conflicting information, YG has yet to release an official statement.
Blackpink debuted with four members Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, Rosé on August 8, 2016. Like most other entertainment companies in Korea, the exclusive contract between BlackPink and YG took effect from the group's official debut, and lasted for 7 years.
During 7 years of working under YG, BlackPink has achieved many remarkable achievements, becoming the top K-pop group and being praised by international media as the most famous girl group in the world.
