Noi Bai Airport speaks out about the shop selling the 208,000 VND sandwich

Regarding the customer's feedback about buying a sandwich at a store at Noi Bai Airport for 7.9 USD and more expensive than at the international airport, Noi Bai International Airport has just responded to this issue.

Immediately after receiving the information, under the direction of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, Noi Bai International Airport coordinated with the Northern Airport Authority and relevant units to inspect, review, verify the entire incident and have sent a written report to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam in accordance with regulations.

Upon inspection, the product that passengers were interested in was the “Grilled Pork Sandwich” from Bigbowl at Terminal T2. This is a high-end product, using pork imported from Brazil, with full certification of origin and food safety. The price is 7.8 USD (equivalent to 208,000 VND) and has been publicly and clearly listed at the counter by the store.

After that, the service unit, Bigbowl store, was also very receptive and immediately made adjustments such as clarifying the information on the menu stating that this is a product using imported pork. Currently, this product is served as a combo, including 1 bread and 1 bottle of Dasani water or soft drink for free.

In addition to high-end products, Noi Bai International Airport always focuses on ensuring diversity in service options to meet all needs and spending levels of passengers.

Specifically, at the counter, there are many types of bread and other dishes served with prices starting from only 2.1 USD/product (about 50,000 VND).

In the terminal areas, there are many diverse choices from many vendors with many different prices. In addition, there is a system of vending machines providing drinking water with prices starting from only 10,000 VND; completely free purified drinking water dispensers are maintained at many locations in the waiting area.

Expressing regret for the incomplete experiences that passengers have encountered and this is an important basis for continuing to improve and constantly enhance the quality of services at Noi Bai International Airport, the leaders of Noi Bai Airport have directed to urgently re-survey all products, refer to the price level with other airports to work with partners, in order to continue to diversify products in more price segments to serve passengers.
