Cloud hunting on Dong Cao peak, another interesting experience in the highland tourism chain

Every September and October, Dong Cao plateau, Van Son commune, Bac Ninh province attracts hundreds of tourists every day to experience cloud hunting, camping, and enjoy the fresh air in the rare, majestic and wild mountain scenery.

Located at an altitude of more than 1,000m above sea level, Dong Cao plateau, Van Son commune is known as "miniature Sa Pa."

The endless green grass hills, undulating rocky mountains, fresh air... make this place an ideal camping spot for young people. In particular, the experience of cloud hunting in the early morning is a moment that many people look forward to.

In the hazy mist, layers of white clouds rolled like ocean waves, and endless green grass hills gradually appeared as the sun slowly appeared from the horizon.

The majestic scene was tinged with a brilliant pink color, then gradually changed color as the sun rose high, illuminating the mountains, forests, green grasslands and endless seas of clouds.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thoa, a local, said that to capture that wonderful moment, he had to wake up at 3 a.m. and travel 20km of mountainous road from An Chau commune to Dong Cao plateau.

After 30 minutes of climbing to the highest point of Dong Cao, he could enjoy the whole moment and hunt for beautiful pictures of his homeland.

The road leading to Dong Cao is narrow, with many steep slopes. On both sides of the road are primeval forests, creating the feeling of being lost in a separate land.

Deputy Director of the Center for Culture and Tourism Promotion of Bac Ninh Province Than Van Hieu shared that the old Son Dong district is a place with rich tourism resources, in which Dong Cao plateau has a good climate, forests, mountains, rivers and streams.

Recently, camping and cloud hunting tourism in Dong Cao plateau has attracted many tourists, especially young people, to come take photos and check-in.

To promote and exploit the strengths of local tourism, the Deputy Director of the Center for Culture and Tourism Promotion of Bac Ninh province said that local authorities at all levels need to coordinate with departments, branches and sectors to advise the Provincial People's Committee on programs and plans to develop planning, thereby having directions for developing types of services associated with tourism, bringing benefits to the people, reinvesting in other service activities, as well as management measures to ensure safety and security for tourists.

Along with cloud hunting and camping experiences at Dong Cao Plateau, visitors here can also visit, experience and learn about local customs and practices such as Dao people's medicinal soaking, visit Ba Tia waterfall, Tay Yen Tu spiritual eco-tourism complex...

Mr. Le Van Thinh, a local resident, expressed his wish that authorities at all levels would have a systematic and sustainable tourism development orientation; hoped that there would be more regulations to protect the environment and encourage people to do community tourism, to both earn income and preserve the landscape./.
