Discussing the production and business situation, the leader of a garment enterprise in Phan Thiet Industrial Park - Phase 1 said that it is still stable. With output increasing compared to the same period, this year, the unit continues to create regular jobs for 1,400 workers and has a plan to maintain effective operations in the coming time... Here, a business with 2 seafood processing and import-export factories is also providing stable jobs for about 700 workers. The representative of this enterprise informed that the plan for the whole year of 2025 is to strive to achieve revenue of over 1,000 billion VND, so it will recruit 200 more workers to serve production.

Production and business activities of enterprises in industrial parks in the eastern region of Lam Dong

In the whole province, positive signals were also recorded through the industrial production index increasing by 4.34% compared to the same period last year, in which the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 8.81% and continued to play the main driving force in promoting the development of the industry. This was also reflected in the impressive growth of some major industrial products: shoes and sandals (increased nearly 2 times compared to the same period); processed and preserved vegetables and fruits (increased by 16.8%); garments (increased by more than 16%)...

In the industrial parks in Lam Dong, there are currently 166 enterprises/projects in operation, and since the beginning of 2025, they have continued to maintain stable production and business. Especially for enterprises participating in key industries such as: garment, leather and footwear, wood, paper, agricultural - forestry - seafood processing, cashew nuts, food, construction materials, minerals and some trade and service groups (such as: gas filling, car trading and repair)... Over the past 3 quarters, the production and business of enterprises in the industrial parks is estimated to have reached nearly 24,880 billion VND in revenue, with goods exports reaching 523.91 million USD and contributing nearly 930 billion VND to the state budget. In general, in the whole province, during the same period, goods exports brought in more than 2.4 billion USD to the locality, an increase of 20.5% over the same period last year.

Continue to maintain stability

In addition to the advantages, the production and business activities of enterprises in recent times have faced many difficulties and challenges. According to the Management Board of Industrial Parks of Lam Dong province, the production activities of enterprises participating in export are also affected by the reciprocal tariff policy announced by the United States. Therefore, it directly or indirectly affects a number of enterprises, especially those in the group of seafood, footwear, wood, etc.

Regarding this issue, Lam Dong industry and trade sector has requested departments, branches, units, localities, industry associations, and export enterprises in the province to coordinate in providing relevant information. Thereby, promptly proposing and recommending solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles to meet the requirements of production - business activities and export of goods in the coming time. In addition, it also focuses on implementing key tasks and solutions of the sector, contributing to ensuring the economic growth target of the province. In particular, taking into account strengthening the connection of processing industry and developing export markets, supporting enterprises to boost production to achieve or exceed the annual plan for 27 key products of local industry...

In the last months of 2025, the functional sector will continue to closely monitor the world market situation to support the provision of information to businesses, and at the same time, implement activities to promote the export of goods. Along with that, assess the impact of free trade agreements (FTAs), orient businesses to take advantage of opportunities and advantages to boost the export of goods, striving to bring the total export turnover for the whole year to 3,232 million USD, an increase of 14.51% compared to 2024... On the contrary, the locality will prioritize the import of raw materials, equipment with high technology, advanced technology for production and export, associated with the control of imported goods to prevent and combat trade fraud and improve voluntary compliance of businesses in accordance with international commitments.

According to the Provincial Statistics, through a survey of the production and business situation in the processing and manufacturing industry in the third quarter of 2025, more than 28% of enterprises assessed it better than the previous quarter and 45.21% assessed it as stable, only 26.71% assessed it as difficult. Regarding the forecast for the last quarter of 2025, approximately 3/4 of enterprises expected the production and business situation to be stable and better than the third quarter, of which 36.3% assessed it as better and 38.36% assessed it as stable...
