In recent days, due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain, the strong flow of water from upstream has caused serious landslides at the Lam Hac dike embankment, Ban Nguyen commune.

Specifically, at the right bank near Cau Sau (about 200m downstream), a 35m long embankment slope has collapsed and sunk up to 1.5m deep, creating a frog-like jaw that eats into the concrete road about 0.6m. The scene shows many large cracks and the risk of further landslides, if not promptly repaired, will seriously affect the above works.

Faced with that situation, the leaders of the People's Committee of Ban Nguyen commune requested the Economic Department to urgently assign forces to regularly inspect and closely monitor the landslide developments. Danger signs, barriers and warning ropes have been erected to isolate the landslide area, prevent people and vehicles from passing through, and prevent unfortunate accidents.

The Commune People's Committee has sent an urgent report to the Department of Agriculture and Environment and the Irrigation Sub-Department to request coordination in assessing the extent of damage, promptly proposing a solution, and reinforcing the embankment to protect the embankment and related infrastructure works. The incident remediation work is being urgently deployed by the local government and relevant agencies, with the goal of ensuring the safety of people's lives and property and maintaining the embankment during this year's flood season.
