Huge number of drones will appear in Nha Trang

There will be 8,000 drones performing light shows from countries including South Korea, France, China and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

On July 11, the Organizing Committee of the Nha Trang International Bay of Light Festival 2024   said that, up to this point, the preparations for the first drone light show competition festival in Vietnam have basically been completed. The festival is especially noted for its program with a huge number of 8,000 drones, along with the participation of 4 leading teams in the field of drone light shows from Korea, France, China and UAE.

Each participating team will use at least 1,000 drones to perform for a period of 15 to 20 minutes, combined with modern, vibrant music performances on stage to create a vivid, attractive, and emotional overall picture. The organizers also revealed the themes that the 4 teams brought to the competition. Accordingly, the team from Korea will open its competition on the opening night of July 13, at April 2 Square, Nha Trang City, with the theme "Nha Trang - Beautiful Bay of the World". Next is the competition of the Chinese team with the theme "Future City".

On the night of July 20, at Vinpearl Harbour (Hon Tre Island, Nha Trang City), the UAE team will compete with the theme "Wonderful Vietnam" and France with the theme "Heritage Wonders of the Five Continents". According to the organizers, no other light festival in the world has been organized into a light competition program using unmanned aerial vehicles. With the theme "Brilliant Galaxy", the international light competition program organized by Khanh Hoa province promises to bring special experiences to tourists and local people.

According to the Organizing Committee, many countries in the world today have organized light festivals such as: Vivid Sydney Light Festival in Sydney, Australia, held in June 2024 with 3 performances with a total of 2,100 drones in the sky of Circular Quay. Fête des Lumières Festival in Lyon, France, held annually on December 8 and lasting for 4 consecutive days. Fête des Lumières attracts millions of visitors from all over the world to see the visual creations of artists with light. In Vietnam, on the nights of July 13 and July 20, 2024, in the coastal city of Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa province, for the first time in the world, a unique light show competition will be held using thousands of unmanned aerial vehicles called the Nha Trang International Light Bay Festival 2024.
