Using energy economically and efficiently in the industrial sector

On the morning of September 26, the Department of Industry and Trade held a training conference on using energy economically and efficiently in the industrial sector.

Industry is the largest consumer sector in the national energy consumption structure. Wasteful and inefficient use of energy not only puts pressure on energy supply, increases production costs, affects the competitiveness of enterprises, but also negatively impacts the environment, contributing to increased greenhouse gas emissions and climate change.

In recent years, the province's industrial sector has developed strongly, leading to an increasing demand for energy, especially electricity. According to Decision No. 1011/QD-TTg dated September 20, 2024 of the Prime Minister, Hung Yen province has 155 key energy-using establishments; of which 100 establishments have conducted energy audits, developed and implemented annual energy management plans.

At the conference, delegates and representatives of key energy-using establishments in the province listened to the reporter present legal documents regulating the economical and efficient use of energy; discussed propaganda solutions, raising awareness, technical solutions, and ways to use energy economically and efficiently.
