Immediately after the accident, the 4 victims were transferred to Saigon General Hospital and Children's Hospital 2 for emergency treatment.
The patient was given a right pleural drainage, emergency bedside treatment with green fluid mixed with blood. The child had to be put on a high-parameter ventilator, high-dose vasopressor, vital signs were unstable, continued anti-shock, and blood products were transfused. The hospital held a hospital-wide consultation and decided to perform exploratory thoracic and abdominal surgery to assess the perforation of the hollow organ and stop the bleeding for the patient.
At Saigon General Hospital, Master - Doctor Vu Duc Nhan, Deputy Head of the General Planning Department, said that the hospital received 3 patients, of which 1 patient in mild condition had asked to go home earlier. The remaining 2 patients include a male patient (47 years old) who was hospitalized for a closed fracture of the left acromion and high blood pressure. Currently, the patient is stable and conscious and continues to be monitored, but this patient asked to be discharged to go to Children's Hospital 2 to take care of his daughter, who was also a victim of the tree fall. The patient was given a left shoulder brace and was advised to look out for dangerous signs and return for an early check-up at the nearest medical facility.
The second patient is a female (45 years old) who was admitted to the hospital due to multiple injuries, liver segment VI laceration and fracture, ribs 4-12 fractures, and a small amount of left pleural effusion. The patient is currently stable and conscious, and has been safely transferred to People's Hospital 115 for further treatment.
