Construction Investment and Development Joint Stock Corporation (DIC Corp - stock code: DIG) has just elected Mr. Nguyen Hung Cuong as Chairman of the Board of Directors (BOD). Mr. Cuong is the son of the late Chairman of the Board of Directors Nguyen Thien Tuan, who passed away at the age of 68 a few days ago. In addition to being elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Cuong also became the legal representative of DIC Corp. Mr. Nguyen Hung Cuong was born in 1982, this year he is 42 years old. Before taking on the new position, Mr. Cuong was Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of DIC Corp.

According to the 6-month management report, Mr. Cuong owns more than 61.9 million DIC shares, accounting for 10.16%, more than the number of shares held by the late Chairman of the Board of Directors Nguyen Thien Tuan (7.68%). According to the current market price of DIC (about 23,700 VND/unit), Mr. Cuong's assets are equivalent to nearly 1,500 billion VND. According to DIC Corp's introduction, Mr. Cuong has a Master's degree in Business Administration, Construction Engineer, and has 13 years of experience in the field of construction economics. From June 2012 to December 2017, Mr. Cuong was Deputy General Director of DIC Corp. By the beginning of 2018, Mr. Cuong had 5 months of holding the position of Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Permanent Deputy General Director of DIC Corp. From June 2018 to present, he has held the position of Vice President of the company. DIC Corp is headquartered in Vung Tau City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province. In the first half of this year, the group had a revenue of more than 1,019 billion VND, and a profit after tax of nearly 4 billion VND. While the revenue was 2.8 times higher than the same period last year, the profit decreased by 95%.
