Summary of the green prawns is quite simple.

The work lasted for several hours, until the sky was bright and sunny.

Shrimp here are raised extensively, following the natural direction, with whiteleg shrimp, giant tiger prawn, and giant freshwater prawn. Shrimp can be harvested after 3-5 months of farming, with profits much higher than rice farming.

Each member participating in catching shrimp is paid about 300,000 VND for each harvest.

When they are brought to the gathering place, the shrimp are washed, sorted, weighed, and sold. Grade 1 shrimp are purchased at 145,000 VND/kg. The cost is low because the shrimp feed is mainly natural, so people earn an average profit of 10-15 million VND/ha, 2-3 times higher than growing rice.

Many households raise shrimp so they do not produce Summer-Autumn and Autumn-Winter rice, but only one Winter-Spring crop in the dry season. Raising shrimp also reduces costs in land preparation, fertilizer, and pesticides in the following rice crop.

Many households raise shrimp, so they do not produce Summer-Autumn and Autumn-Winter rice, but only one Winter-Spring crop during the dry season. Shrimp farming also reduces costs in land preparation, fertilizer, and pesticides in the following rice crop. In the coming days, these shrimp fields will become Winter-Spring rice fields. More than 3 months later, after harvesting the rice, people will add salt water to "treat" the stubble... then monitor the appropriate salinity level to start the new shrimp crop.

Mr. Nguyen Van Ngoc - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Luong Nghia Commune - said that instead of only producing inefficient rice, the extensive shrimp-rice model has brought better income to farmers. Currently, the whole commune has about 170 households participating in the model with an area of nearly 160 hectares, an increase of nearly 50 hectares compared to last year. The model is helping people change their lives, produce in an organic direction, and effectively adapt to climate change. In the future, the locality will continue to mobilize people to replicate the model.
